Not sure about other countries , I am retired in germany on social security
Here the rule about working is no more than 10 hours a week. Make as much as you can.. but no more than 10 hrs a week
    How screwy is that?😅

Too expensive to live in those countries. I can live here cheape

Taiwan is about to be invaded! For any of those countries, you would need to speak the lingo or you will get screwed by local yokals. Took a trip to Brazil years ago. They see all Americas as being rich, even a working class guy like me.

Well let's see. The French hate us, Japanese hate us, Italians hate us, Finlandanders won't speak to Americans. Don't even think about Switzerland. So, where exactly can we go

    What about Greece?

Thanks for giving the current estimates on costs.

She sure looks awfully young for Social Security.

I live in the USA on SS alone. No problems.

Can you tell us about Malaysia

So everything seems to be based on renting… what about buying?

if you don't have any bills other than insurance and property taxes, you can live just fine in the USA. Louisiana has really low property taxes.

Hilarious! You don't want immigrants in your own country but think you have a God given right to settle anywhere you want. Stay where you are … we don't want you!

A location map showing where you are talking about would be helpful for those not so known countries.

Six months ago, my oldest son returned to Australia after living in Spain for 18 years. Basic reason being the unemployment was very bad and no one wanted to give a middle aged person a job, that was adequate to support the daily cost of living. Back in Oz he was easily able to get work, and while living costs were higher than desired, he is able to get on with his life.
So, make sure that you evaluate all aspects of living in a different country, not just the ones used here.

I want to believe it true.
But who can you trust. Wake up in a Turkish prison one day wondering how the heck…

Why is there a teeny bopper on the cover?

I'd say Mexico. 70% cheaper overall than Europe and 60% cheaper than the US. Safe? Yes. I've been living here for 45 years, emigrating from Europe, and have never heard a shot fired, been mugged, assaulted or kidnapped.

I was in Montevideo in April…i was in Europe in Feb. This guy is wrong. Spain and Portugal are cheaper than Uraguay. All food cost are 2 to 3x the cost of the USA. Even the beef is cheaper in Europe.

What would also be interesting to know is the price per couple

Really Taiwan? It won’t be long until it becomes China.

Expensive! I live cheeper than that now

North Cyprus? An occupied place of death for you to retire? Damn democracy and human values! Shame on you patronizing that … what’s next? Gaza?

Yeah…until Trump and Project 2025 ends Social Security, Medicare and Medicare.

You might want to check on Ecuador now, many changes with drug cartel taking over. Lots of expats realizing it’s going to be hard to sell their homes now. Sad what is going on there now.

What parts of Uruguay are well above sea level?

As an Australian on a disability pension, I can easily rent a 3 bedroom house a 2 minute walk from a major shopping centre and public transport hub.
I recently upgraded my computer and still have enough money to live comfortably. Yes, I do eat too much, but I am lucky enough to be able to be overweight and I do enjoy the variety of different foods available.
I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I still want to know where and how I can get the photo shop catalog of the pictures you use! 😍😝

I live in the United States in Altus, OK. I am retired and my SS could pay all my bills. The funny thing that I noticed when I make my budget is that I make more being retired than I made while I worked.
