Great choices, especially Panama 🇵🇦. Howard Air Base was there. For me now age (61), widower, dad 👨 with adult children and granddad. I plan to return and retire in the Philippines 🇵🇭. I was stationed there in 1991. Second language is English. You need between $1,200 to $1,600 American dollars 💸 to live comfortably. They also AMERICA 🇺🇸 military veteran Philippines 🇵🇭 sponsored SRRV 🇵🇭 retirement Visa. About 70,000 Americans are retired in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Thank you for this video.

Portugal, Costa Rica and Panama seems to be coming up on every list of the top places for black retirees to live. I am intrigued as I am looking to retire abroad rather than in the U.S. I'd love to hear more at one of your workshops.

The one thing that folks need to know that they never think about is that in Spain, if you ever file taxes with them and then leave, they will chase you to file taxes for 10 years! They even ask question on the tax forms like " how much is your life insurance policy". They may get a cut of your money if you die! But I lived there for years and I agree that the food and cost of health care is amazing! Worth the cost of just dropping by to get your medications! Fish and meat like you can't believe and even the potatoes taste different! Really sweet. The banana's have a really hard center so I didn't eat them very often. It has a great transport system that you can take from one end of the country right up to the bordering countries! Great support if you have an developmentally delayed child/adult but not so great for older people with mobility issues.

I visited Panama for a month during a temporary duty assignment while serving in the Air Force in 1986, and Spain for two weeks for a military softball tournament in 1990. Both were as advertised. I’m ready to go back to both.

This sounds good. However, I would prefer a country within the continent of Africa. I desire to live and interact with predominantly black communities. Johannesburg South Africa and Ghana are among my first choices even though my DNA is 48% Nigerian. A stable tranquility government coupled with safety, health care, and affordable Cost of Living are the things that I seek compatibility with.
