put him on the second line for sure.

Dvo is a pretty good 200ft center, better in the face-off circle than Suzuki. If the Habs are looking to trade him then maybe they should be trying to upgrade his value some. The Habs were on a mission last year to get a top 5 pick. That doesn't help the player's stats if management's goal is to lose as much a possibile. They should put Dvo with Gally and Armia on a line, that would be a good 200ft line and show off Dvo's qualities more than letting him go for nothing now. I saw a trade involving Dvo and others for Laine, didn't look like it was anything that would be close for Waddell to let Laine go. I think Mike Matheson for Laine and the Bluejackets 1st rd pick in 25 top 10 protected and if that doesn't go then it gets shifted to the 1st in 26 no protection. Plus no salary retention on Laine. Waddell has 2 years to get his team out of the basement. This looks like a better go than the other trade proposal I was looking at. MM had 62 points last season, that's more than Laine had in each of his last 3 seasons. I can't help but feel that if the Habs want Laine this is more of a trade that will get it done.

Habs aren’t getting anyone new and maximum amount of spots we’re gonna move up in this years draft is like 1 spot

Nervermind Dvorak is just a matter of time no biggie… but…Laine will be a HAB and when all chips fall into place it's push for the CUP time!!

The way Kent Hughes operates, he will pull another trick out of his hat and make a deal with another team for a player we don't expect.

What on earth is he talking about concerning red flags for Laine
Just because he was in player assistance it shouldn't mean anything concerning on the ice issues
    It might be completely unrelated
Laine best fit is clearly not Montreal but he should have a chance
Too much bad publicity for nothing already

Dvorak is in a contract year he will be motivated to play well…let contract expire

Concerning DVO, he's still a young guy.. had a bad season last year but excepted that one season he's a ~ 0.50/0.60 pt/game guy so we definitly do not pay an extra to get rid of his contract. Injuries will be a thing all over the season and we'll need extra guys. The only option why Kent would do that would be to make some space under the cap hit but we got plenty for the moment + a trade would have to be imminent for it to happen 🤔

Dvorak never did anything but put his heart into the team. Now why your dumping on him is crazy.

no such thing as a bad contract on a rebuilding team.

He meant trade for laine not sign lol

There is nothing wrong with Dvo, we are a better team with him, if he can stay healthy….

I cant see any team having interest in Dvorak at the moment. But at the trade deadline, if there's a team looking for face-off guy for their bottom 6, it wouldnt surprise me if he gets moved.

You 2 are getting dumber by the day , stop depriving yourselves from air

hey Jesse….do you EVER disagree with Josh….lol….talk about a talking head…. do you ever have a thought of your own Jesse

Not sure why Dvorak would need to be traded to make room for Beck….Beck will spend the season in Laval, he isn't making the Habs out of camp. No need to trade him for nothing just to make space for someone. Unless a trade is made for a top 6 winger and you move Newhook from the 2nd line wing to 3rd line center, then there is really no one ready to replace Dvorak.

If you have to pay to get rid of him, why not play him, hope he has a good year, and maybe get more for him at the trade deadline. If no, then let the contract run out, rather than have to pay to get rid of him.

Roy making the team has no bearing on whether Dvorak is there or not.

As far as Laine. Laine for Anderson. No one retains any salary, Habs are still under the cap by a healthy amount

Personally, I think are some red flags with Stu Cowan.

Stu Cowan the guy who thinks Mailloux is expendable via trade?

    That sans genius…

Habs are loaded on LD not RD… not yet

If Beck is really ready then yes DVO needs to go even if the return isn’t great. But paying to move him no, injuries will happen and having depth at Centre is not a bad thing.

I think if a trade for Laine was to happen it would’ve already happened. Unless Hughes is waiting for cap reasons.

Will Laine be willing to "bust his gut" to win? Will he have his teammates' backs? If the answer to either is "No" then we should pass on him. I don't want someone who scores a ton of goals then disappears when the playoffs happen or is clearly just concerned about his scoring. Winning the Cup requires a team effort not a bunch of talented individuals.

Enough with Laine we do not need him there is a reason he moved quite a bit and is overly paid at this point in his career.

Isn’t Dvorak our best face off man? Keep him.

I don't own the Habs, so I couldn't give a shit if they have to pay to kiss Dvorak goodbye.

Dvorak will be a great trade chip at the deadline. Faceoff specialists, prime age, defensive center and will only be a couple million once we eat half
