    With cash prices so cheap, the hotel redemptions are key. Taxes are crazy high in Hawaii.

    Hawaiian airlines A330 has AMAZING recline!! Like best of the best. Also some are getting free starlink onboard.
    Their economy plus is SUPER spacious.

    Great video…we used Hawaiian airlines points to cut our flight costs on half on our visit in 2023. Looking to return in 2025 and totally forgot about Southwest or flying into a different island.

    We went to Maui in May and paid for our flights with cash but booked our hotel entirely on Marriott points and got an upgrade! Ocean front room, high floor, it was beautiful! Can't wait to go back again in the future. Worth it.

    I tried looking up a flight from Atlanta to HNL 1/1-1/8 as an example found a delta one seat in flight DL1646 when trying to find this same flight on virgin Atlantic it said there are no flights available.

    Same happened to me after looking for a flight on united and then on Turkish.

    What am I doing wrong ?

    Are you offering service where I tell you all the credit cards I have and the points and you find me the best deal to go to Hawái from Boston and you help me book it. I have more than 130k points and this seams so much work but I want the best deal.

    Turkish Airlines website and app are trash. I can easily find flights on United but never on Turkish

    Turkish miles and smiles star alliance redemption says the flight it is not available, but shows it. Is this because all the rewards seats are taken or have yet to be released (looking for December).

    Also would love if you have a hack for traveling around the holidays

    I got my first real "travel hacking" experience when we were island hopping back in May. I wish I had known how few people fly on Southwest the first flight of the morning. If I had, I wouldn't have wasted most of my miles on our inter-island flights. There were less than 30 people on each flight. They told us multiple times how we needed to spread out in the plane to balance the weight… that's how few people were flying. lol live and learn, but it was nice to fly for free (plus taxes and fees).

    Great info. I'm trying to book PHL (or IAD) to HNL in late Feb on Turkish Airlines, and can't seem to find any flights. What am I doing wrong? I signed up for turkish airlines miles and smiles

    I found the onewold partners section confusing, where do I search these flights and then when I transfer the points around how do I purchase them? do I have to call? Instructions unclear.

    Maybe one video per airline to really break it down! Im slow in figuring this out, like how do you know which dates work? I tried playing around with it, searching iad to hnl on turkish, and it kept trying to route me through some explore istanbul thing, adding 4 days hah 😅
