I go here regularly. I didn't realise it was that old!

I love learning about new projects to experience in London/Britain. I have traveled to the UK every other year for the last half century. Thank you.

The Hogarth stair is absolutely amazing, breathtaking.

    Hogarth worked for exposure 😮

The hospital is such a treasured London institution that the young Lionel Begleiter adopted the nickname of the place as his anglicised surname. "Oliver" is the best-known musical written by Lionel Bart.

Delay this and increase care for the elderly and disabled open more hostels. I suppose this is more important than the elderly and homeless.

That’s good and all that, but, shouldn’t we be building more working hospitals?

Had a couple of valves replaced there.Excellent hospital.

That is so BEAUTIFUL and I am agog! I say it a LOT but I would be FOREVER happy if I could live somewhere that has buildings and architecture from the middle ages or the like! To have it be common place to walk past a hospital that has been in existence for 900 years!?!?!? I just can't fathom it 😊😊❤

That's awesome! Im so glad meticulous restoration is still done like this. Lovely staircase too. We should honour people who want to do things just so we can have nice things. Nice picture with the dog too, seems like one of the habitual tongue droopers 😋

Odd to be letting the public masses come into a hospital to look at things.

In the world of demolishing old buildings, this is fantastic news!

I wish we could still build beautiful hospitals like this. They can be depressing places to be stuck in. Although maybe anywhere would be

You’re a marvel! Thanks for posting!

They should maybe have a small fee to get in. Then invest that money into the hospital. I’m sure the trust could do with a little bit of extra money.

I hope I get to visit it one day

20 years from now they'll probably rename it for Muhammad at the rate they're going in the UK

And brits will present this as ancient ! 1123? this must be the very FIRST thing the INVADERS did! ha ha

Britain is joining the rest of Europe (depsite its best attempts) at becoming a museum-nation. I'm glad these places are preserved, truly, but for anyone concerned about their future: you should be.

    Wow!
