I don't buy this toxic Fandoms notion, if the adaptations are good people will love them. People don't want to hate stuff for the sake of hating "What if it scares corporations from giving something else a chance" will maybe just maybe Noone will be scared if they actually cares to do it well and not destroy it, if anything good they should be scared to actually care and higher decent people. than just a stupid hollow corporate cash grab, story worse than a dumb Twitter fan fiction.

"Why cheer then" if anything people should do parades when stuff like this get canceled, it's an insult to any humans cognitive abilities. It had no soul, Care, substance or value to it.

Ryan is nicer than me but I definitely get his opinion if we're talking about original works but not adaptations.
Alot of people hate fourth wing on booktube for it being bad, if it gets a adaptation and gets canceled I couldn't careless. It's an original ip thats not even aimed at me, Noone would even bat an eye at it.

But if it's lord of the rings one of the best stories in fiction and the story millions love around the world gets a story arguably worse than fourth wing, just bastardization of some of the best stories no shit people will react. They're destroying something special.

Look at house of the dragon people absolutely adored it( same for me) the biggest complaint for season 2 is the fact it's shorter than season 1. People loved it so much that they wanted more, they're suffering from success.

Ryan had a good point about studios not wanting to risk it on adapting a new series. Which is probably why they churn out so many remakes in the first place. It's just shocking how out of touch they can be with what the fans, whether they are hardcore or casual, want. As far as WoT show is concerned..
