My goodness! The China Report is such an awful CCP propaganda platform. Nevertheless, the guest, Judge Tang, and her take on FARA is excellent. The incredible irony here is that the attempts to curb US citizens' liberties with things like FARA, or trump's "China Initiative," are part and parcel with the standard MO of all political discourse in the PRC these past 70 years. The reporters here for the China Report, at the beginning of this broadcast, wax heavily on CCP talking points and loaded terminology. For example, calling the Taiwan gov't "separatist forces," their utter distain for democracy advocacy in Hong Kong, etc., using one oddball woman's story to bash Taiwan's divorce rate. And what's wrong with a high divorce rate (if it is so)? Their approach to truth in reporting is as insubstantial as platforms on the opposite extreme of the spectrum, like the Epoch Times 大紀元時報. I usually hold the BT channel in high regard, and listen often. Please review and reconsider the addition of this particular program. It's awful.

This happened in Australia as well. People who have been promoting relationship between students in universities and Chinese cultures were blackened as spying and coercion. Chinese people who work as lobbyists in Australian government promoting Chinese businesses and projects were suddenly seen as foreign agents (especially if they had prior or current membership in the CCP) and any Australian politician working with such people would be treated as traitor and defamed or lose their jobs. It was on a roll. Every week there was a TV feature on some Chinese spies. Front page news every alternate days. Australia got served with an ice cold shoulder from China but Australia got furious and humiliated. To this day the Foreign Minister is trying to renew the business deals and return trade to previous levels. This episode was frustrating but also laughable now that everyone saw the impact of that cold shoulder! Australia can't afford to fight China, but it's following its big brother US. When will Australia realize that US can't save them when things go bad?
