@TheFootballTerrace  it's the standard yes, but as with anything theres context. Terry keeps saying we're not in a rebuild but in the next breath he says alot of our players are ageing, you have panelists talking about Liverpool not making the top 4 but then saying challenging is the goal. If I say that I want to be a professional footballer at 36 without ever kicking a ball is the goal does that make it achievable considering my life has been spent lifting and I'm 240lbs? The answer is NO. We've the same team yes but we've also got a few positions we need to improve in and we've been linked to Neto etc. Slot is a new manager taking over from a team that's had continuity for almost 10 years, the playing style of slot is possession based it's different and will take time to adjust especially the likes of Trent who have only ever known Klopp as manager bar the England set up. To come out with blanket statements that we're not in a rebuild but United are, is disingenuous, however I'm not surprised as that's how Terry spins his agenda, yet united are in a rebuild with the same manager and same style of play just a few additions. Your bias is almost as laughable as ya barnet

Rival fans: Liverpool are finished they wont even finish top 4 and their main players are washed and FSG won't sign any players.

Also rival fans: Liverpool need to challenge! The team is still good. Slot need to at least be 3rd and win a trophy.

as a liverpool fan i think we will finish 4th cause even tho we have a good squad the formation will take some time to adjust and we need to make signings in key areas particular in the number 6 role

How is Terry saying he expects Liverpool to challenge this year? I really don’t understand the logic??? Jurgen klopp is one of the best managers in the world and just about challenged for the league all while jurgen klopp announced he was leaving he said expect Liverpool to drop off. Now he’s saying he expects us to challenge??? Liverpool will not challenge for the league next season.
