Moses was a military General when they camped they lit giant bonfires at night to stop the Egyptians can't see past bonfires at night and then they crossed in cover of night. And at day break they went after them and got stuck and the tide came back in. That's the theory I've heard from more factual documentaries.

It's really hard to believe what the Bible tells us, we go through all sorts of theories and speculations but the Bible shows it exactly what happened.

You forgot to note the part where in the Red Sea, which the Bible notes – not 'reed', they have found chariots, and armor … like those of the Pharoah' army. Do not try to explain away what the Bible says. That is God' Word and He does not take lightly those who put their own spin to it to fit their idea of events. He knows exactly what transpired and where.

mount horeb is in MIDIAN!!! Moses had a wife and kids there and was tending to his father-in-law's sheep. how could he cross the red sea with a herd of sheep and back… and why would he? mount Horeb/ Sinai is in Midian. its Mount Al-Lawz in saudi arabia. or just south of it.
