The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) rescued two individuals on Saturday after their small aircraft crashed 10 miles northwest of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard District Seven reported being made aware of the emergency around 12:15 p.m. when the Turks and Caicos Rescue Coordination Center requested help for the distressed 28-foot aircraft.

The USCG stated that an OPBAT MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter team successfully located and rescued the two individuals around 3:30 p.m.
