look a boycott is like what we did as hearthstone players… deleting our account en masse to the point where they had to stop us from deleting our accounts by requiring our IDs to delete our accounts… and my hearthstone account alone is probably more expensive than anyone of the whales in these gacha games… no joke… and this is before my WoW account… my overwatch account and my HotS accounts ass well… and they spend way more than hearthstone…. and i was not the only one and i was considered a medium spender in the community… a medium spender is already more than a whale spender in genshin… get that across your head…

How much you wanna bet most of those signatures are from twitter people who have never and will never play Genshin even if they did blackface the fictional characters in a fictional fantasy world. My disappointment in people grows by the second.

36:22 Nekomata? Yes she’s a standard, but don’t discount her for that. The Zenless Zone Zero standard characters are all great units, and that includes the cat girl. She is preferred to use in a Cunning Hares team over Billy or Anby with Nicole.
Candace is good in her specific niche and Cyno is a good unit too, I think people were expecting him to be Raiden Shogun but nobody is ever gonna surpass the Electro Archon just like Mualani is not going to be on the Hydro Sovereign level. Kaeya is also good if heavily invested into I’ve seen some insane damage numbers in Melt. So yeah, there’s some good darker characters in Hoyo games. -
Bruh I've maybe spent like 1.2k in the game on the 2 and half years I played. Left that bitch when it got a task to do, they need to realize the addiction when you think that way, just think of it as a party that lasted for the amount of time you played and that's how much it costed you.

No genshin boycott will ever succeed because the people who play the game are far too invested to ever stop playing it. Wither time, money or community everyone still playing genshin is invested in the game in some way. Add to that the fact that the protesters are a small part of the lesser half of the money that genshin makes and you are talking a 5% loss at most if all of them quit and less headaches for hoyo. All in all hoyo couldn't have cared less if they tried.
As a side note, if they did change it to fit western sensibilities it would have hurt them more than if they let the 5% quit. Adding more dark characters would have lost them sales from the Chinese audience and the closet racists loosing them more than the 5%.

Then again the names of the "Gods" in Genshin impact are actually names of the 72 Demons from King Solomons "Ars Goethia" and that includes Paimon as the most prominent offender. Since Paimon is said to be one of the most high-ranking Demons in the book.

I get the points of this boycott but I laughed at it because i knew everyone would be playing and pulling as soon as natlan dropped. One rule was not to talk over people affected but thats what they did. Also some, not all but some people from the cultures said they weren't appropriating cultures. I wouldn't know. I'm white as a ghost.
Editing this after a bit. Another dev company with very good diversity is fairlight/lilith games. They made afk journey and dislyte. Very good games in my opinion.
