    What's driven home prices the most in the last few years are corporations/bamks/businesses buying up large quantities of homes by outbidding buyers with cash offers and then turning around and renting them.

    Exposed concrete can be ok but generally there is no reason for it in the long run. I wonder why Jamaica, if he has any connection or it's just a vacation vibe and not too far away. I would be a little concerned about crime, maybe especially for a high profile wealthy target.

    Ummm of all places. Jamaica? Many parts of it are not safe and lets be real, there are better islands in the area when you were talking about spending this type of money. To each their own, it is a beautiful house though

    💚 Just love Diplo's home … My family live & are from the south coast of Jamaica on a hill top … You won't get any bugs flying up near Diplo's home but I would be very worried about hurricanes … That concrete style was the first in Jamaica … James Bond author, Ian Fleming lived in Jamaica many years back.

    As a brazillian, that really looks like a typical 1980s middle-class house around here . Those houses are designed to run with AC turned off with cross ventilation, it can get surprisingly cool at 80F when the wind is running through your face, thats also why we paint white and why the house has LOTS of shading. Also in 3:10 you can find some lilly pads, plants very much associated with Burle Marx (one of the houses inspirations) and brazillian modernism (1930s-80s), modernist houses are still pretty much popular as a national style but its been losing place to other contemporary styles

    Crime is everywhere in every country in this world. For someone to even mention that is very shallow. Jamaica is a great place to live and have fun. The food is almost, all the time organic. People are kind, caring, and sociable. The beaches are just fantastic.

    Your founding fathers were colonists, how can you have never heard the word "colonialism"? Jamaica itself was a British Colony. Jamaicans there today are not native to the island that's for sure. Either way, Diplo is not a colonist considering he acquired the property because it was put up for sale I assume by a Jamaican. He's more of an expat, or immigrant.

    I like Diplos Jamaica mansion, I like the fact that the mansion has many levels, I like the open design and indoor outdoor design of the house. I like the pool. I do not like the brutalist design with exposed concrete inside and outside the house , and stone floor. I like smooth finish, stuco, plaster and color paint in my house. Good job Scott I thought Diplo was a reggae singer after watching the AD video, I learned in your video that it is a DJ. I am happy DJs are making big money

    I have a problem with a home like this. It has future abandonness to it. Its in the middle of nowhere. With no other houses next to it and also the city its in can't repurpose it if he leaves it and no buyers take it.
