This is an absolutely incredible video! Thank you for so detailed and informative review/tutorial!
-
Loved your videos, full of info and the way you show it is simply simplified .
Thank you bro.
Would love to see a video that would compare those systems as it is really hard to choose between them.
Coolify, varcel, dokploy, docker stack. Etc..Which is easier which is better for production which is more flexible, ,,,,
Which is for those who doesn't know anything and it takes care of everything in the background and which is for those who know everything but it makes their life easier.
Would be a great video to see from someone like you.. would be amazing video. -
I need to step up my game with seamless deployment.
-
it's look similar to kubenete
-
please do tutorial with rootless docker or podman
-
bruh, this is not docker stack. it is called docker swarm. it is just another mode similar to compose which is now part of the the installation. also keep in mind the secrets are not that secret.

This is a great solution. I built a fun little side project that requires me to ssh from one container into another and run commands in it. I just learned that Heroku dynos in fact do not support SSH, and there are also several Dockerfile arguments (EXPOSE being one of them) that Heroku also does not respect in a build. Similarly, Docker Volumes are also not supported in Heroku. That said, I would have to break apart my build to accommodate Heroku. VPS to the rescue. And frankly I had no idea what Docker Stack was all about either until this video.

Very nice, very very nice… THis is way more low-level than just using Dokploy but I like it.

画面和声音的搭配让人完全沉浸其中,太好看了!

Honestly, I kinda thought, that Docker Swarm is dead.
And it looks pretty live and useful instead – for us who want something between compose and kubernetes. -
For almost 3 years i've had to ssh into the test/prod servers and do the shit you describe here. The ammount of fuck ups with storage issues, net issues, docker cash and residues i've had wasnt enough to convince management to update our release strategy, not to mention obvious downtime. Im not going to ssh into anything ever again.

Very nice description of a process I have been using for 5 years. Silly question around this; how did you manage the update of config and secrets in this kind of setup and what are you using as volume driver in case of host distributed setup . Dokker Swarm Rocks !!

great video! i have 2 VPS servers on hostinger – do you know if hostinger VPS servers can share a local private network? or do I need to setup a wireguard / tailscale network to achieve this? FYI the local private network is something that digital ocean VPS has out of the box

Just use k8s it is not that hard I use it for my local lab at home…
-
This got me looking into Docker Stack as a alternative to Kubes for a lightweight VPS deployment.
Along the way we discovered an even simpler approach which gives the same benefits for a one node instance, docker rollout.
Let’s you do the blue/green deployment of a docker service without docker swarm, stats, etc!
-
Why then not use Kubernetis alredy…Much more robust for production no?
-
Why not use kubernetes Like k0s?
-
do you think docker swarm is still viable when we have stuffs such as k3s, k0s and what not?
-
My only problem with Docker secrets and the tutorials explain it, always give examples using services that support *_FILE environment variables like POSTGRESS or MYSQL. My main question is how do you handle just plain text env variables like say EXTERNAL_API_TOKEN which has to be text value in container? How do you pass much value via docker secret to docker-compose and get it into your code inside the container?
