Mormon Sunday school teacher here. I don’t claim to be a scholar or anything, but hopefully I can point out some interesting stuff worth knowing about the story of the Book of Mormon translation.

    1. I HIGHLY recommend you look up the “Caracters” sheet. It’s a paper that allegedly contains the types of symbols that were on the gold plates, it might be helpful in your research
    2. The Book of Mormon is primarily about a group of Jews that fled Jerusalem around the year 600 BC, and how they made their way to America, and established a pretty darn big civilization that utilized concrete, highways, horses, etc.
    3. The “Breastplate” is weird, because it also had “glasses” attached to it that Joseph claimed would help in translation of the Book of Mormon. These glasses were allegedly way too big for a human head. The Book of Mormon briefly covers an even older American civilization called the Jaredites, who came over right after the collapse of the Tower of Babel. In the Book of Mormon they are never referred to as giants, but many in the church believed they were.

I’m also happy to hop on and talk more about this topic

when you have combat stress (PTSD) you tend to want to be left the hell alone. perhaps this is why all the former military are building cabins in the middle of nowhere and digging up mounds…..

if you apply the plasma apocolapse or EMPCOE theory, knights and horse armour had ground straps so that in an electrified atmosphere the horse and rider would not be shocked by the plasma, jousting became a cartoonified reason for the armour. what if copper and other rock/metal embossed writings were a way to survive through a plasma apocolapse. what if the bones of those that lived in an electrified plasma atmosphere still held charge and that is a reason they were raided? footnote: thehighersidechats 5-17-24 jaydreamerz show.

I love the format of these, Erik. I also appreciate the way in which you deliver information is unspoiled by a narrative of your own. A VERY rare gift you are giving us! I’ve never been able to absorb “facts” and not much cared for history because of that, but this is FASCINATING!!

The archivist has amazing stuff. What do you think about the mounds being the mass grave sites after a slaughter of the people living in the area? I got a vid comparing burial mounds and cemetaries you might dig(hehe), called "Cemetaries vs Burial Mounds"
