WARNING – DO NOT USE Rick's VIP!!! We booked and stayed at a Villa in Sint Maarten. There are no beaches at the unit even though the pictures show one. We found out the beach was washed away in 2017. More important, Sotheby's of Sint Maarten manages the Villa. They booked us with Rick's VIP as a driver. Rick gave us a 7 minute drive in a minivan to dinner and back, and wanted $200! When we suggested this would be $50 taxi ride, Rick harassed us the rest of the trip, to the point we had to block him on WhatsApp. We asked Rick to send us a link to pay for the ride, and leave us alone. But, Sotheby's scheduled Rick to take us to the airport. On the way, Rick's driver pulled off of the main road and intended to leave us there unless we pay cash. Luckily another taxi company was passing by and we got a ride to the airport. When we arrived, Rick followed us into the airport, assaulted us (he was arrested), tried to steal our luggage and damaged one suitcase to where it is no longer useable. The airport police arrested Rick for assaulting us and for destroying our luggage. When we followed up with Sotheby's we were informed that "due to a lack of options" on the island, Rick was spoken to, but will continue to be one of Sotheby's providers. WOW is all we can say. No one offered to reimburse us for our luggage. And, now we find out that even after Rick stalked us, harassed us, assaulted us, and destroyed our property, Sotheby's will still put people in a car with Rick!
