Lye-do???? no no no. It's LEE-do. The Lido is a public beach or deck. Its a British word, not specifically a cruiser word.

Port/Starboard/Fore/Aft – used on ships for a thousand years and on aircraft since the Wright Brothers. Left/right depend on where you are standing, the nautical terms don't: If you are facing aft your right hand points to the port side, if you are facing forward it points starboard. Easy way to remember when facing forward, port is a red wine with 4 letters, on the ship/plane its the side with the red light and left also has 4 letters.

Motion sickness is not due to motion, its due to rotation or in nautical terms, swell, roll or heaving. It is your brains way to warn you the world isn't making sense as in after eating bad food.
