The Bible states the following : • The world is fixed and immovable. • The world has a firmament that is shaped like a tent. • The world has a face. (flat surface.) • The world has 4 corners. • The world has sides. • The world has foundations. • The world sits on pillars. • The world has a border or a seam (like a dress / shirt.) • The world has ends. • The world is God's footstool. • The sun and moon moves around/ above the earth. • The sun & moon are lights • The stars are for signs

Day 2

– Gen 1:6-8

o Firmament H07549 (raqiya`) =

 extended surface (solid), expanse, firmament

 expanse (flat as base, support)

 firmament (of vault of heaven supporting waters above)

 considered by Hebrews as solid and supporting 'waters' above

o Psalm 148:4 *After the flood*

 Not a canopy that went away after the flood

o God spent a whole day creating the Firmament and vertically separating waters

o Ezekiel 1:22-26

 A likeness of the firmament is used to describe a crystal like (hard) dome

 Below the firmament – Wings

 Above the firmament – Voice, throne, appearance of a man

o Job 37:18 “Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass”

o Psalms 104:2 stretchest out the heavens like a curtain

o Job 38:8 Shut doors to stop the water falling (flood)

o Isaiah 40:22 stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in
