    Thank you for this video Mike and Jen😊 I am a vegetarian, and when I was at the Melia in Cayo Coco several years ago I found the options very good for vegetarians just as they seem at this resort. Unfortunately, I opted not to go to this resort, but to the sanctuary, White Sands in Cayo Cruz simply because I cannot get a direct flight from Ottawa and getting to Montreal is a hassle for me. But this resort is still on my list perhaps in January. Your videos made me realize that I need to change my expectations of Cuba and I am going in with a completely different mindset. Thank you. I appreciate you taking us along😊😊

    Place looks amazing. We been to Cuba twice this year. For what we paid food was always adequate.
    Next week Club Amigo Ancon from Montreal 495$
    We ate at Cora Breakfast this morning 60$ that's for one meal. 😮
    Outta that 495$, I'm guessing that 60/65% is allowed to the Airlines….
    As always we are jealous, envious of you guys😂 Mike have a cold one for me😉

    That place looks great, never been to that part of Cuba, yet.. food when you were there looks amazing, and yes they may not have all that if we go there. But this looks like it is going in my list of maybe that’s the one, your videos are amazing, you and Jenny do a great job of getting the point across about Cuba, and Lorraine and I like that.     The breakfast choices provided aren’t because of Europeans travelling to the island, it’s because that’s all they have, and when people complain about the food, just know that the government takes from the starving locals to feed the tourists.

    Are the a la cartes worth it? Sometimes they are. Sometimes they are the same food as the buffet with literally the same kitchen making the food! What you want to do is go to an a la carte that is not attached to the same building as the main buffet. You are going to be required to dress a little better than at the buffet and a tip is expected. Definitely the quality and preparation of your food can be better at an a la carte. Some resorts allow 2-3 visits to a la cartes per week, others unlimited. Just depends on the resort.

    Thanks for this video! We are going here from Halifax in January. Food looks similar to what we had last year in Jamaica at Riu Reggae.
