People make it seems like a taxi driver alone a feel it.. no they are just the only one protesting about it….can be law abiding and still get ticketed,got a ticket for dirty car on my way to work not my fault road working on and the contractors not wetting the road to keep the dust down

The government acting as if they are the one who buy people car…give tickets for fog lights..send transport authority to carry the people..they have government busses…..feeding off motor vehicles just to rob the money….by the way where is all the revenue money , the housing trust money, the gas tax money…these leaders need to be jailed…

The majority of Taxi Drivers are unruly. However I disagree with ticketing a driver where a passenger is not wearing a seatbelt. The passenger should get the ticket.

No excuse. Just refuse to carry the non compliant passengers in your vehicle. What about the other tickets you're getting? Why are you getting those tickets? You guys need to be more disciplined and obey the traffic laws.

Its totally understandable that taxi drivers shouldnt be held accountable for a passanger who choses not to wear a seat belt innuh back seat if in the front seat yes should be required but if they dont wear em the passanger should receive the ticket minirs should slwasy be innu back of taxi and yes conponsation for the roads tearing up the vehickes should be figured out

This is foolishness students can't get to do their exams because taix strike so no body don't see the bigger problem here. First students should not be traveling into public transportation..ministry of Education need to get school busses back on the road ..

I hope the Government doesn’t back down by those protesting, the demerit points system needs to keep some of those bad operators in check, for those who refuse to ware a seatbelt you have the right to refuse them service, the law is there to keep people safe we need to follow them back stop pushing back.

The taxi operators in Jamaica are a disgrace. I don't know why the government allows these unruly taxi drivers to take over the country like this. The government must improve the public bus service. Because they seem to control the country. Whenever they broke the rules and the police penalised them they all teamed up and protested which locked down public transport. They should never be allowed to take over the public transport system.

Why is it people have to make noise, and miss behave for the government officials to hear the complaints of the people and we have people in every sector working with the government to take care if these problems. We have road projects, rivers projects , water and sewage projects. Our road in in Somerton Adelphi st, James is a disgrace and we have elections in February. These people not doing their jobs.

The government needs to improve the transportation system islandwide so that taxidrivers don't have so much power over people. These people cause so much trouble! Don't even care about kids taking exams
