    I'm intrigued by The Florios of Sicily. I've been learning Italian and I had a private teacher only who is from Sicily. I did not like The Mermaid of Black Conch but Passiontide sounds interesting. I might listen to it on audio. Why does it feel like all the black authors are writing horror and fantasy books? Great haul! Happy reading!

    First of all, the skin is skinning! That vacation sun looks good in you!
    I don't like the idea of using racism in horror books either. The Fallen Fruit sounds like my kind of book. If I didn't have the audiobook, I would not have finished Life After Death. However, I have enjoyed the Midnight series so I'm going to give the new release a try. I love the clothes & jewelry!

I am feeling those African jewelries. The way you rocked them was really nice.     I feel the same as you about horror and racism. Books like that with racism as the main theme, don’t work at all for me because it makes me want to throw hands !!
