I have traveled for decades with a small foldup hand fan. Handy many times.

18:33 From Mumbai to Delhi on AI A350?? Exciting!
-
At 3:50, 'buying tickets one month in a dance?' Or maybe thats just your way of pronouncing advance .
Anyhoo, train ticket bookings in India have a similar feature called the "tatkal" booking option where you book a day prior to your journey at a particular time, and its the same concept basically. First come, first serve, you gotta really practice your memory game of booking just like your experience on this one if you're gona get the seat that you want..of course, the interiors of our trains aren't half as beautiful as our Japanese counterpart so prepare ahead, mentally at least. Thanks for another great video..ive never missed a single since i subscribed ages ago . Cheers bud and safe travels .

Thanks for the great review + video!
-
Hey did you book the ticket from Jr east s online portal?
-
For the puzzle at the end; Mumbai to Delhi on AI A350?
-
7:53 I love how easy to read your graphics are!
-
"Nine-hour kiss" is an adorable phrase 🥰
-
0:32 Schrödinger's train.
-
Appreciate you for giving us room dimensions in both metric and imperial units again. Missed that in the last two videos.
Great video, as always! -
Thank You Kevin. If I had more time in Japan this November, I would take this train 😊
-
Let’s just say you rode half instead of both or neither 😉
-
my problem is no room is en-suite so it's hard to use the toilet
-
Are the two "sets" identical? Or could it be that the single de lux was not available for the one route you selected? Probably not. But, just a thought. The "adventure" with your temporary adopted son is hilarious!. Gone for 30 (!!!) minutes? Would have been interesting trying to explaing that to the Japanse police!
-
❤ from india 😎
-
I have come to thoroughly enjoy your videos.
-
Have you ever thought about an Indian Railways journey?
-
I can imagine your disappointment missing out on the deluxe cabin…I guess I’m getting old but all the other options looked a bit too Spartan and claustrophobic to my taste, although the journey is not overly long. It’s getting from A to B in an efficient and fast way, but missing a night…I’m not too sure about that either 😅 Thank you for another highly informative and entertaining review! 🙏🏼
-
I just drool over these mesmerizing Japanese train reviews. Hope that Kevin could do more of this calibre!
-
You should do a video on the Tokyo Station Hotel some day. I still dream about their breakfast buffet 😅
-
I sleep better in shaking train like little kid. So shaking is pro for me but in train not bus…
-
No Toto toilets on the train? :))
-
The Single Deluxe room is easier to get at a ticket office in Japan. The process is called 10時打ち which means to push a button at 10. The system at the ticket office allows the station staff to input all the information needed before 10, and push one button to issue that ticket at 10 precisely.
-
Sure, its cool and all that. But most passengers take this train for its novelty anyways. Its not cheap, not comfortable, and generally inefficient considering the alternatives. Its not officially a tourist train but might as well be
-
Because of the water limitations on board do they sell only a few Shower Cards?
-
When I took this train in June last year, also a single cabin (but on the upper level), I also found it to be unbearably hot. Seems like that wasn't a one time issue…
-
Puzzle is : Mumbai to Delhi on AI A350
-
Loved the series, Thanks Kevin!
-
Part of what makes Japan amazing to travel to is also what makes it annoying at times. Japanese people generally are extremely organized and prepare well…tickets are impossible to get and little things like the shower situation are competitive. I spent a wasted day in Tokyo Disneyland not knowing everybody would show up at 6 am and reserve all the rides.
-
Thank You ✈️
-
My bucket list… taking transportation in Japan is so amusing.. with bento biru highball chime and so on..
-
I love this train but have not yet travelled in it. Someday soon.
-
Another great video. We have recently returned from Japan – my 4th visit and one of the best especially with the A$ to Yen currency. Ramen Street in Tokyo station is worth a visit!
-
Your room looks about the size of Amtrak's Roomettes, but MUCH cleaner and updated. I love trains and wish Amtrak would step up their game. Thanks for the wonderful content!
-
I've stayed at the Marunouchi Hotel (very good, excellent lounge/bar) which is one minute from Tokyo Central Station. I went shopping in that underground labyrinth under the station and got lost in about 3 minutes. The maps look like spaghetti junction and there are several levels too, so it's like three dimensional snakes and ladders. I love Tokyo.
-
HI! Did you stop by to tell me I mispronounced Okayama 37% of the time? Don't worry, I've already rebooted the mainframe! 😉
-
Well done as always. Thank you for this content.
-
Thank you! Amazing video. Bringing back many memories for me. I love your Japan series!
-
Me too the sunrise express sells 1month prior to departure date at 10am. I went to the ticket office 1month prior to departure but couldn’t find the single deluxe room 😢
-
I’ve gotten rooms on Amtrak trains multiple times and always had a great time and never had issues. Yes, a combination lock would be nice but the sleeper cars have attendants who know who does and does not belong there.
