Thanks as always for the education and the laughs! I’m off to ponder why that cherry was green…
-
Well, I made this, and it just didn't do it for me. Too much Ango, I think…
-
I do appreciate how Anders shows us how to make the Rum Punch without the blender. I get frustrated when I watch a cocktail video where the creator says its super simple to make you just need these ingredients then takes out fancy equipment to make the "super simple" drink which means its not as easy as they say it is.
-
A green Cherry Chilli, oooh yeah!
-
Granulated sugar in the US usually comes from sugar cane, while in most parts of Europe, it comes from sugar beets and is much coarser than ordinary granulated sugar.
-
So much of everything 😅
Too much Nutmeg can make you illusions 🫨 -
Ok. Going to have to add this to the summer rotation! Thanks
-
Should there mixture rest in the fridge?
-
I made the Jasper’s Mix today, 4 hours later made the rum punch. I love that I got to swizzle this cocktail – it’s always extra fun when a technique works! Thanks Anders, for your videos, this week and every week!
-
your voice is so different from videos from like 6 months ago
-
Anders! You’ve done it again, my friend. I have a cocktail night on my calendar next Friday and this is going to be perfect for as people arrive! Thanks for passing all your knowledge our way!
-
They still sell green maraschino cherries but they are harder to find. Both the basic red and green are of course dyed.
-
Who's gonna tell him about glace green cherries? They're a bit terrible looking but they do exist.
-
wait…. you haven't seen green cocktail cherries before?? how can that be.
-
I just made some right now! My wife looks at the jar in disgust. She says that it looks like something kids would make just screwing around.
It doesn't look good in the jar but it tastes fantastic!
-
They make green candied cherries for garnishes! Very sweet and quite unusual but pretty similar to a cheap maraschino cherry.
-
If you washed your swizzle stick in warm water, that’s why it warped for slightly complicated physics reasons
-
Thanks for the great recipe..again.
Jasper's Mix looks like something you could easily do on a single drink basis. I'm guessing something like 1 oz lime juice, 1 1/2 tbsp sugar, 2 ml Angostura (4 – 5 dashes?) a bit of ground nutmeg. Did you check the final volume you came up with? It would be easy to come up with the "single drink" ratios if you have the end volume for a full batch. -
This has to be a great punch obviously!
-
Anders Grenadine is truly the best I’ve ever had. It’s rich, it’s beautiful and it’s perfectly tasty!!
I’m not paid by Anders, it’s just an honest take on it!
-
Freshly granulated sugar! How recent 😅

"Not sponsored or affiliated with Angostura Bitters… I just really darn like it."

Two recipes ONE video >>>
Hell yeah
-
Have you ever thought of doing a pre batched cocktail video? I’ve noticed you and Greg from ‘how to drink’ haven’t done one. And you are 2 of the best so…
-
I know you have probably mentioned this before (I seem to remember it in an earlier video, but I can't for the life of me remember which one), but can you link to the bottles for citrus juices (tall, thin ones) and syrups (wide, fatter ones) that you use? Thanks in advance! I love the channel!

I bought a bottle of Wray and nephew a year ago and it was so off-putting in typical rum drinks because it has such a funky flavor. I'm going to have to try this. I have to find a way to use that rum! 😂
Any other good ways to use Wray and nephew? -
Been having trouble finding way and nephew lately. Any recommendations for another overproof white?
-
for the lime to sugar 4:3 ratio, by weight that would be like 4g to 3g?
-
Just drinking mine now:
-My mix for some reason is not as bright orange, it's looking a little more brownish
-No access to overproff rum so I used white rum, and compensated with plus an oz.
This cocktail is so easy, delicious and easy.Thank you Anders, next time I wanna try it with cachaça.
-
I read that Jasper's Mix is basically a type of falernum, so I made a Corn n' Oil (2oz to .5 oz) and it works. Easiest falernum stand-in I've ever seen.
-
My favorite anime, Rum Punch Man
-
FYI, Jasper's Mix with soda water instead of rum makes a great low abv "punch." Cheers!

I used the Jaspers mix with bar strength Novo Fogo cachaca. Super delicious 😋
-
Didn’t care for the Wray and Nephew. I made it with Plantation OFTD. LOVED IT.
-
So why not reformulate to use simple syrup, solving the dissolve issue with the granulated sugar? 1:08
-
Can lime super juice be used?
-
I did 1.5 mix to 2 ounces of mezcal and was very happy with the results.
-
Great recipe! Very simple and very tasty! I had a bottle of the overproof and it has very few uses. (tho in a ultimate mai tai, 1/2 oz of this jamaican rum is excellent!) I used the bottled nutmeg in my batch but I will definitely try grating my own next time. The bottled nutmeg doesn't strain out so you end up with a little tornado of of nutmeg in your glass because it is so fine.
-
Thanks for the tutorial! Gonna to try this! I was wondering if you've done a book list video yet? I would love more cocktail book recommendations!
-
These are both great drinks. The Jasper Rum Punch is amazing for its economy; an ounce and a half of cheap Uncle Wrays, sugar, lime, and Ango. The taste is great! I like it a lot more then some much more complicated tiki drinks with expensive and difficult to source bottles. I cant wait to make one with Rum Fire.

I truly look forward every week for your videos. Because of you, Anders, I’ve learned so much about the ins and out of cocktails. I thank you so much, both you and Az, for expanding my knowledge in this fabulous field of cocktails! 🍸🍹🥃 😎 cheers
