Modern Money Talk

Council tax should be about paying for goods and services from the council, and therefore relevant to bedrooms not market value of a property

So the principle as I understand with pensions is that you are relieved of the tax you would pay on the income when you put it in and pay tax when you retire and take it out. I assume that people who think it unfair that higher rate tax payers are relieved at the higher rate think it’s unfair that higher rate taxpayers should pay a higher rate – right? Not right of course – those people think that higher rate tax payers should pay extra tax when they make pension contributions!

To me that’s not at all fair – particularly as the 40% higher rate starts at such a very low level now thanks to this most disingenuous freezing of the thresholds for the best part of a decade.

If the money raised in these tax hikes was used to enhance the UK and benefit the hard working tax payers it wouldnt be too bad …but as most people know the money will be frittered away …used to benefit other countries….and labours nonsense vanity projects without any accountability……

If I had the money I would get out of this country. Tax tax tax tax. The more we are taxed the less and a lot less we will be spending in shops.

Remember, local electioñs are coming soon. Please make sure you use your vote to consign these Labour bastards to history YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE !

And yet £3 Billion a year just been pledged to Ukraine, for as long as it takes says money bags Starmer.

They only promised not to increase 3 tax rises, gave themselves a lot of scope.

More robbery out of my wages.

Its all gonna be for the poorest and wirking class who are victimised be ause 9 weeks in power and thats all theyve done, and given pay rises to unions and overseaes climate so clearly they hate the rest of us

Just more austerity with double hypocrisy

So are we saying capital gains tax will be 40% instead of 20% across the board moving forward?

How much is stamp duty when you buy shares?

Does he get tax took off him or doe he just pik on pensioners and workers

Stamp duty is wrong. The payment should be on the sellers side, not the buyers. This would reduce the difficulty in buying and move the tax into the profit side of the deal.

Let's call labour the New Tories it's the best name for them and suits them best in my opinion.

TAKE HIM OUT OF OFFICE!! HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE PRIME MINISTER ! HE GOT THERE BY LIES AND DECEIT!! HE IS A LIAR

I heard that the VAT on school fees could actually cost them £2.5bn as they seriously underestimated how many children would be pulled out of private schools. Contrary to popular belief a lot of parents of children at private schools are not super rich but make serious sacrifices to send their children to private schools – but hey that does not fit with labours policy of envy

We have already paid taxes on the money we have invested. Then we risk that money for several years then they want your gains off you if you are lucky enough to gain. Sounds like robbery…

Rishi Sunak warned time and time again about labour plan to raise taxes ….and here we are …

I predict a sentence of 5 years hard labour

Labour means working hard for a low wage and .having little or no savings

Did I miss a budget ? No ? Is this a Farage moment ? Did you take advice from a guy living in exile ?

How she missed child tax if u have more then 2 u have to pay tax in China doing

Relief or releif that is the question 🤔😊

Didn’t stop the chancellor from claiming over £4,000 fuel allowance for herself before deleting the pensioners meagre fuel allowance.

HALF OF THAT TWENTY BILLION BLACK HOLE WAS CAUSED BY PAYING THE DOCTORS PAY RISES AND UNION RISES , IF THEY STOPPED FUNDING WARS ABD STOPPED PAYING IMIGRANTS TOP HOTEL BILLS AND CASH HANDOUTS AND PHONES AND FOOD, THE IMIGRANTS WOULD STOP COMING OVER, AND THE TWENTY BILLION WOULD BE PAID BACK IN TWO YEARS , JUST BY STOPPING PAYING IMIGRANTS TOP HOTEL ACCOMADATION FOOD CASH HANDOUTS AND PHONES AND STOPPED PAYING FORE WARS THAT TWENTY BILLION WOULD BE PAID BACK IN LESS THAN TWO YEARS😊

Thanks to starlin are growth has stopped. They're taking the government to court over the tax with schools as some disadvantaged children go to private schools it's discrimation.

    This country needs Reform

Dont send any money out of this country and reinvest in this country and look after our own

Just where do they think we have any spare money from we taxed to oblivion already

    We need to cut benefits

Uk has given too much power to Beaureaucrats and they stop everything that needs to happen to grow economy
You need coal to build steel but this week a new mine that was going to come was closed by courts, you cannot build anything in this country without protests and even those companies who build something they hire foreigners to work there, it is cheaper to important food from eu then to grow in uk
These are some of the big problems with uk

You can't plug a (supposed) black hole whilst it's leaking like a seive, I'll lay a penny to a pound, that black hole will be doubled if not trebled at the end of this nightmare government They haven't got a clue and everyone can see it.

A big portion of this black hole is due to Starmer giving train drivers and doctors massive pay rises to appease the unions

    Gotta subsidise the billionaires somehow.

Capital gains goes up, ain't selling. High interest rates, ISAs targeted, can't save for my deposit. Property market frozen. Your job in a private school at risk. The one that employs me creates 1300 jobs.

Sending billions to other countries to fund wars but wonder why there is a 22 billion black hole and then allow big corporations to dodge paying any tax at all and then raise the tax on working peoples pensions and then raise the tax threshold for the super rich! Then allow mass immigration and house them but reward UK ex-military by letting them live on the streets.

Starter is a spineless coward. Stop immigration, stop foreign aid, stop benefits to people not willing to work. Start taxing the rich, capital gains tax, inheritance tax etc. Remember ,those with broad shoulders should carry the brunt of taxes. Stop loopholes for massive companies. Get a grip labour

Taxing anyone who earns less than 30k is actually insanity.

The only businesses that they are targeting is small business owners.

these barstewards will tax you more and more to spend money on the invading Islamic Army now being housed in luxuary hotels, Millionaire scrounger Starmer and his disgusting henchwoman Reeves will probably kill of over four thousand pensioners this Winter and they dont give a toss.

We don't have a taxing problem but a spending problem. Each mile in UK gets 50k gbp/year. Yet look at the state of the roads

This is Starmers legacy!!. Hope he's proud to be remembered for this!

We pay tax on the money we earn, yet we have to pay more tax on items we buy, I just don’t get it, we are over taxed across so many areas it’s getting to be pointless to have a job and work hard. I am going backwards after working more than 42 years !!! I’m so sick of this country and imbeciles working to fcukc it up.

Starmer is a disgrace! Robbing the poor to pay for the rich is Starmer’s legacy! We need to take him and his team to court and charge them with cruelty and change what they’ve done. They cannot justify what they are doing. Step down Starmer and everyone on your team who is robbing the vulnerable! He is walking around ignoring this as if nothing is wrong. Hope this will backfire for his ignorance! How would they like it if they can’t afford winter bills and council tax?! OMG. They are out of touch, unbelievable!

Great video! How about dividend tax and entrepreneurs relief? Also, do you think changes will be applied immediately or April 5th?

Tax the top 3% , problem solved! But they won’t the poorest will pay and poverty will grow, there will be no growth, when will they realise we need money to spend money 💰

I didnt fully understand the changes to ISAs. Increasing yhe allowance as long as its invested in uk companies?

Best way to save money is mass repatriation surely! Has uk forgotten the navy has big boats and could blockade the channel?
