Hey Paul, great videos. I have a question .I live in Orlando.I have a M4 that has two mangoes on the tree the size of a walnut at the last week of April.now 7/19/24 they are large green and very hard. How long should they be on the tree before I pick them? Should they be soft or is there a certain number of weeks? should I pick them and then let them ripen on the counter, thanks

Glad to see he mentioned Number 11, one of my favorites. We had a big tree that was always loaded. This will only taste nice after it's picked and put on the table for a few days. I think it has a bright orange color.

What’s the difference between the mangos grown in Florida and the ones grown in California? I’ve heard the harvest seasons are different too. I’m in Las Vegas and want to try my luck at mangos. Thanks for these videos!

I gave my jamacian co-worker a Mallika mango. She said that she loves it and that it tastes like a cow foot. I told her that she's Loco. I grafted her a Mallika tree.

Love this series and very happy you did Jamaica. It was great to hear how they do in Florida. 1 thing I would ask is if we could get recomendations for low input varieties that taste similar to those from each region. For beginners it would be good to hear, if you like Thai or Jamaican mangoes, a no spray disease resistant substitute is x,y,z. Sometimes its better to get a good yield that is close than none of the exact one..

Thanks Paul for featuring Jamaican mangoes. It is true Alex that we Jamaicans are very passionate about our mangoes. We don't care about fibrous or non-fibrous, we just enjoy and the different varieties.

you need some good guard dogs those critters will eat all the mangos

Some one should probably try to grow a whole lot of seeds of out of east India and look for varients that have better disease resistance. Though it's possible that it's very stable when grown from seed 🤷🏽‍♂️.
