I’m going to be in Malacca next month. I’m looking forward to it and counting on you to fill me in!

I was last in Malacca around 2006-7, it was nice and quiet back then, but it looks much improved. Let us know if you go to one of the larger gyms, curious what they have there.
One thing I miss when I am not in Asia is the night markets.

Most would have made Malacca one of their first visits after arriving in KL. It's unbelievable given how much time you've spent here that you've not see what a very normal house, go visit some local kampung houses and see their distinctive roof shapes that vary across states. Almost ALL beef in Malaysia arrives frozen from India, the local cattle industry is tiny. It pretty much all has a good chance of being infected with foot and mouth disease which is endemic to both countries. Vaping is illegal in some states and the numbers are increasing. No sweet and savoury in the US, what about peanut butter jelly sandwiches? Not aware of what otak otak is? Wow!

Go to a proper health centre and get them to try and sort out your diet, you look sick all of the time and are missing out on so much. Malaysian food is the best.

This is the prime reason why Malaysia needed to legalize marijuana… Because the designers of the city could have smoked and got high and stoned….And said I think we need to put some sidewalks in….This is what happens in the society when you limit your creativity..

In Malaysia some of the stores And plazas put sidewalks in… If not you would walk out of the store and get run over by a car.. Or a moped.

Driving a moped in Malaysia is a very bad idea…. it is not like vietnam or Thailand they drive slow…. Malaysia too many large vehicles…At very fast speeds…You're asking for a body bag..

It's funny some cats enjoy getting stoned… Sum cats do not like it.. In ancient Egypt the cats like to get stoned with the pharaohs..

Scented oils.. Put off VOCs… Those are volatile organic chemicals and you breathe them in… VOCs can cause cancer.

Welcome to Malacca. Come and listen to me playing the piano in Baba House.

What is amazing about Malaysia… They are so close to Vietnam… And they have the worst coffee culture of anywhere you've ever been… Unless you're in the Patronus Towers Mall… you are at a French or an Italian coffee shop..Don't really care for Starbucks….It's really bad like a lot of bad American coffees..Well it is American after all starsucks

Malaysia and Thailand are 2 completely different experiences… Malaysia you are never stoned or high… Thailand you are relaxed and always smoking out… It might be different if you can smoke in Malaysia..

Health is being the international issue. Not worth to eat everywhere. Must strict for our stomach performance.

Dude if youre sick go to clinic..it only cost like 12-30 usd..youre not gonna stay young forever..so its best to learn how healthcare works in other place other than US

There’s a historic Portuguese Village in Malacca if you’re interested

Ben I think you are staying a bit too far from the city center. You should have gotten a place in Jonker street.. it’s predominantly Malaysia Chinese shops but near to other city attractions. If you have the patience try ‘Roti Awang’ at Jalan Bukit Beruang.. but need to come early.

Momee monster is a snack. It’s basically noodle eaten dry. Their main factory is in Melaka.

Melaka is nice 👍 place to visit Bro anjoy your trip to Melaka

Friday-Sunday usually a lot of students taking the express buses to go home or go back to colleges. keep that in mind when you travel next time. There’s a community train from KL Sentral to Pulau Sepang, but Pulau Sepang is not in the city center, you have to take a grab to go into town. My parents live near the train station, I usually take the train as it’s comfortable 1.5 hours ride and no traffic jam.

condo management open pool for public that why many people especially on weekends. Try local foods ben…….melaka have many variety foods and cheaper to. Try asam pedas, ikan bakar umbai, kuih keria antarabangsa, coconut shake. Buy motorcycle is very good choice. Buy motorcycle very easy in Malaysia compared to Thailand, you just need IDP licence. Mamee monster local famous snack originally from Melaka, you can find any groceries stores like 7e also, by the way 7eleven establish in Malaysia since 1984

Malacca was the first Malaysian city to be "Westernised" when the Portuguese came and conquered it in 1511. You can google the old maps of Malacca from the Portuguese period and see what it looked like then. It used to be walled, and there was a tall structure called "Torre de Menagem" (watch tower). They also built churches, chapels, houses, convents and the first Western hospital in the country – Hospital do Rei (King's Hospital) for the Portuguese nobilities and high-ranked officers and Hospital dos Pobres (The Pauper's Hospital) for the low-ranked soldiers and commoners. However, most of the structures have been destroyed during the Dutch siege in 1641. The homes that you see lining Jonker Street and Heeren Street were built during the Dutch period. The Stadthuis (State House) was built by the Dutch. The original building was white but the British painted it red because the natives then used to chew betel and spit it on the walls.

Melaka (Malacca) it's my dad's home state. State with the most smiling talkative people, especially when you can converse in their tongue. Quite straight to the point kind of people that others would sometimes take it the wrong way. Cheaper than KL and JB… almost.
