My Jamaican family hung strong in this. A hotel built by Jamaicans was introduced as restricted to wyts only, isolating the beach for themselves found out. The children of the soil burnt down the hotel and left those selling their homeland off to tell the story.

I haven't travelled as much in my life as would have liked. There are places I would like to go for the landscape, some places for the culture but I can't imagine going somewhere that has banned locals from their own spaces. Unfortunately for some tourists they won't know this until they get there. Not everyone from western countries finds this acceptable.

This is unbeliveable that the Government of St Lucia is selling or allowing tourist to buy or rent beach property, and the locals are not attacking their own Government to stop tourist from occupying beach property but instead attacking the tourist. The Government is allowing this to happen. Remember it takes two to tango. Get rid of those officials that are allowing this to happen. The tourist are told to purchase or rent the land. So why attack the tourist and not the officials that are making lots of money.

I am disappointed in Jamaica for allowing private beaches to starve the local fishermen. Instead of buying local to build the economy and feed the people my Jamaican brothers and sisters are arguing of whether salt fish is better than mackerel and both of them come from Europe. God has given us the Bountiful Caribbean Sea and most of our people are eating Colonial cod fish at least 3 days a week you put yourself back in slavery with your mouth and your belly
