Trinidadians are going to bully you into thinking their food is the best and their country is the prettiest. I went to Trinidad in the year 2000 and was shocked that the food was so different. It’s overly seasoned. My family and I were not fans at all. We starved until we got a hot plate. And my stepmom that was with us is Indian Jamaican. The Indians in Jamaica make good food. Salt fish choka with tomatoes is 100% more delicious with fried roast breadfruit.

Wouldn’t it be great if you went to Jamaica in December along with a number of other YT vloggers and threw a big event meet and greet, hiring local chefs to make a big feast with mannish water, jerk chicken & pork, curry goat, Jamaican fruit cake and sorrel? Maybe do it as a fundraiser too? 🤷🏽‍♀️
Oh and throw it at Frenchman’s Cove. Have the local Trinis make their doubles and roti. Make sure they have ital food for BlessupJess. She has to be there… if it happens.

Thank you for all the videos of Jamaica. I’m actually heading down there in a week and a half. What’s the best way to understand the currency?

Jamaica is a 3rd world country. I don’t know why we need to lie to ourselves. It’s all because of the brain drain, the deportees and the culture that rejects them, the imported goods that are highly unnecessary, the work ethic of many individuals there, and really another thing is the replication of American culture. Jamaicans need to keep their unique culture while adopting the work ethics of our Chinese Jamaicans.
