Even if we get pep, klopp or ancelotti and there is no chances in the JFF staff room the team will struggle because the root problem is still there. If you all think making it to the world cup will be some great achievement please take a moment and look at the teams we have to play to qualify. Jff needs to understand that getting to the World Cup is not the goal here it’s about being competitive in the World Cup getting to the knockout stages will be an achievement. I have listened to the JFF personnel in their delivery during this press session and it's no surprise the state of Jamaica football.

It is unimaginable that Stephen Francis is not retained to oversee strength development and conditioning, an issue that has plagued the players for all their athleticism.

Also, I have listened keenly to the responses from Coach McLaren who asserted his overwhelming understanding of the football ecosystem in Jamaica. Yet he could not propound or articulate a playing philosophy when a related question was directed to him. Coach McLaren spoke in very general terms that appear to be inconsistent with someone having close familiarity with the Jamaica program, having worked in that area at FIFA.

Finally, Coach McLaren remarks were generic in their nature. Other than his demeanor and likable personality, I do not think that his technical skills are impressive or distinguished. The JFF men's program will continue to struggle due to leadership challenges and coach selection.

In my opinion, Coach McLaren's selection is erroneous!
