Mr. Fungo, is there any other colonial presence in Africa, say, french, belgian or dutch that you are partial to, that you wouldn't perhaps consider as utterly useless as the portuguese one? The english one perhaps, for it obviously — and you yourself will be a case in point — spread the lights of civilization anywhere it went to.
