    He is DEAD!!!!

It makes so much sense that he was so daring and willing to try the unconventional (unconventional to north Americans on western diets anyways) foods and go explore different cultures, he was a fire monkey cancer with a zest for everything life and a healthy respect for death. ❤

I came to Mexico for the culture and beauty and stayed for the food. LOL I am a FOODIE! Bourdain is the one who re-ignited my love for travel and food. I saw one episode of him and was on my way. Because of him I ventured to over 80 countries and tasted various cuisines along the way. I'm surprised I'm not 600lbs.

I think I know that taco place near the Zocalo, pretty sure it's Los Cocuyos on Simon Bolivar and El Salvador. The brains are good but not well seasoned. Their al pastor is amazing

God bless you Anthony Bourdain! After watching this episode I decided to visit Fonda Margarita the next time I visited Mexico City and sweet Lord, it was worth the trip. When I arrived I asked a lovely elderly couple what they would recommend on the menu and the gentleman told me "You can literally pick anything on the menu and it's going to be amazing." The good sir wasn't lying and that meal still stands out as one of the best I've ever had even to this day… this place is simply mind blowing!

It is the end product of a culture of thousands of years.

Anthony Bourdain always had a soft spot for Mexico. He often said that during all of his years working in New York restaurants, it didn't matter what type of food you were ordering, Italian, German, Greek or even Chinese, all the best cooks and chefs were Mexican. It was that same show where he followed a great, Mexican chef he worked with to his hometown in Mexico to see where and how he learned his cooking skills. Mostly, it's a culinary culture that wastes nothing, so you have to be creative when cooking up things that people in other countries usually don't eat. Also, their grandmothers are absolute gold mines of enduring, world class recipes.

I want to go to there
