I have been to Cuba twice, I can say I have family there. Those things have not happened to me but I have seen them. I guess nothing happens with being careful.

Great video. I havent been there for many years but I have been there 6 times. No problem because I have friends there and I ask them. But Cuba is quite a safe place. The fact is known when you go there and talk to people.

What nauseating propaganda. Why compare Cuba to first world countries? It is a third world Island in the Caribbean. Why not compare it with Haiti or the Dominican Republic? Even when we do make the comparison, Cuba comes out looking good. Unlike America, no one is homeless or starving in Cuba. No one goes bankrupt through needing medication, unlike the US. They have higher life expectancy than the US. They have higher literacy levels than the US. Lower infant mortality than the US. Education is free from cradle to PhD level. Healthcare is free from the cradle to the grave. Not bad for a country that has endured swinging sanctions from the the most powerful country on earth and it's lackies.

Some nice shots of the Malacon, the five mile promenade in Havana. Locals fish from the sea wall as the seas around the island still have a healthy fish population. Go to watch the overtopping when there is a high tide and an onshore wind. A few views in Trinidad, streets of natural stone cobbles, a World Heritage site. Even one of the vertical sided hills at Viñales, amongst the tobacco growing western end of the island. Outside Varadero the country is unspoilt by tourism.
