🐷 my favorite part of the video…the "meh" tier!😂 I go around and around with hotel cards. I usually pay out of pocket for Marriott stays as I am eligible for the "family discount" rate. So what would the benefits be to me as Gold or Platinum status? Especially given that so many of the benefits are "as available" dependent. I recently asked at a Renaissance what the benefits would be if I had Platinum status. The answer was all the things you would expect including suite upgrades and free breakfast in their restaurant. I then mentioned that I had never seen their suites and the guy checked the computer and upgraded me to suite at no charge! Mind you Im only Silver elite…so it never hurts to ask in a polite and friendly way. But i come back around to what are the benefits of higher status? Is it worth it when nothing is "really" guaranteed? I almost always can get early check in and late check out by just asking politely. Some of my more disappointing stays have been at Ritz Carltons😮 So why have fancy status when you show up to a fancy hotel and you cant get the benefits of the status?!🤷🏽‍♂️ I will probably continue to go round and round until i see a true benefit to having one of the Marriott cards. As always, amazing content…S-tier all the way and never "meh"!

Been waiting for a up-to-date video like this; definitely bookmarked a few of these for the macro plan.

Love your videos! Please do one breaking down the benefits authorized users get for each of the big cards. For example if I get the amex platinum and pay to get my wife an authorized user card, does she also get lounge access? Or do I still have to pay to bring her in anyway

Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve is probably an A tier hotel card as well, solely for the Hyatt transfer.

Probably I should switch club to Marriott. Hilton is so horrible.

I snagged the amex marriott business card last year with a 125k sub. Just got my 1st FNC. So far so good. In the future i would consider the amex brillant but not sure if its worth the AF 🤔

I never understand the criticism towards the Chase Marriott Bountiful card. Even Chase hardly markets it 😂
If you can't justify the annual fee, of course it isn't a good choice, but if you can then it's the cheapest way to earn gold status and enjoy a free night valued at 50,000 points. With 4x earning towards restaurants and groceries just like the Amex Gold it can be a beast of a point earner if it's your daily spender. To each their own I guess 🤷‍♂️

I have the Amex business Hilton cc. Can I product change to a Amex Hilton personal cc? Will I be eligible for the SUB? Thank you!

🐷 Actually ykw, how about a card setup for people who take two big trips a year. idk if these 250$ annual fees for hotel cards are ever truly worth it for these groups.
So like yes assume they have the Chase trifecta or citi duo or capital one whatever, but what hotel/airline credit card can be added on that actually matches? Where can value be extracted from in these low fee/no fee hotel/airline credit cards?

    Please help!

I have Amex points as well as chase points. I found great flights on American airways for 40k miles from Doha to Japan (different airports) in July. I tried booking through British and Qatar and they want significantly more points for the same flights. How do I get around that. Also we need 6 seats

🐷🐷🐷@asksebby: You didn’t mention that the legacy Ritz-Carlton card has the awesome superpower of not only airport lounge access to Chase lounges but it was UNLIMITED guests as well 🙂

    Definitely S-Tier…🐷🐷🐷

🐷 Too bad that the Wyndham Caesars match is going away. But the Earner + does still match to National car rental executive elite status. Think I'll keep it for that benefit. Allows to book a mid-size and pick any car on the lot. Getting a lot more than $75 worth of value with that. Also, Wyndham has a huge point sale going on right now. Can buy points at 45% off until the end of the year. Could be good to redeem at Vacasas particularly in Hawaii. That could get a place to stay for about $100 per night for a 1 bedroom place with full kitchen.

Sebby, if you run into a nieche situation, in which an otherwise useless card becomes good, or a meh card get's overpowered, both to the point, it is worth mentiononing, it might be a good idea to place that card at both levels with brackets stating the nieche. There are a lot of people, who will just look at a chart and throw anything below A tier as worthless, even though there could be the ideal card for them in C tier.

Brilliant card went from an S to an A for me. I hated that they changed to Marriot Credit to a dining credit.

I have the Ritz Carlton card. Can I get the Bonvoy Brilliant card? I'm not concerned with getting the welcome offer. I want the consistent platinum status. Or do you think they will add platinum status to the Ritz card?
