They Came Into My Cabin at 2pm… What Virgin Voyages Did AFTER Left Me SPEECHLESS!

I have been on 2 Virgin Voyages, both to Bimini. I am older than the average guest and this cruise was packed to the gills. Yes, everything is included but the issue is that the system in which to book the restaurants is horrible. Everyone wants the Steakhouse and the Italian and it is impossible to get into these unless you book it online within the first minute it is allowed, which we could not. Were told to book onboard which was a also impossible . One night we waited at the Italian restaurant at 6 pm to reserve and were told only at the bar which was full, then someone came up and cancelled their 6 pm reservation and we took it. We sat for over an hour and saw lots of vacant tables. They hold the tables until the next reservation which is crazy. They should tell everyone like land based restaurants that if you do not show up within 15 minutes of your reservation, the table is given away. We said something to the host and she just said it was the way she was told. The rooms are small and look like they were designed by IKEA (no joke). Very little storage room for a 4 days cruise. Bimini Beach Club was so crowded that we could not get a chair. The people who were sitting next to our friends, came right off the boat, put their towels down and spent 3 hours on the beach before coming back. Not Fair. I paid a beach attendant $20 to find 2 chairs for us and he could only find 1 in the entire resort. Not enough chairs around the pool and the seating at the back of the ship gets so hot because no air flow. It is basically a free for all on Virgin. Sometimes there has to be some system like other cruise lines. If you are over 45, don't waste your money.

I'm hosting a VV cruise during superbowl time. It'll also be my first Virgin Voyages cruise. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

We're just back from our 1st, 12-night VV. Yes we had a good time. We got invited to a couple of secret parties and my hudband discovered the pins you collect from the Happening crew. There is a freshness and coolness with this ship.
But being honest, it wasnt my favorite cruise ship experience.
We had all our restaurants booked before we got on but i ended up cancelling all 2nd time visits, bar, The Wake and Test Kitchen.
I thought the food was good but honestly, i dont know why people rave about it.
Its the same food, they never change it. At the grab and go fridge, they have the same 2 salads everyday and the same sandwiches.
The nightlife is good but there isnt any outside bars, bar the one over the wake restaurant which closes early.
Theres no real soul to the ship. Everything looks ultra fab but on second observations, its really not that exceptional. My friend asked me what i meant, and i told her, " It's fur coat but no knickers", if that makes sense.
The staff although were extremely professional and pleasant, there was no real warmth there. Table service staff were definitely the nicest and most chatty, which we love.
Would i go back? Yes but only if the ship was visiting places i wanted to see abd the price was right.
I wouldnt recommend VV as i think theres better cruise ship experiences out there for the same price.
Im not being excessively critical but being 100% honest. Hopefully it might help someone to decide if theyre on the fence
