Hii I live in DR. Try the mosquito repellent sold at any supermarket here. It comes in a cream and also spray, it's made out of citronella, it's called repelengue❤ love that you are back 🎉

About 10 days ago I went from somewhere around Montreal to Jomtien in Thailand, hoping to stay for 6 months and work online. The air pollution is nasty and I'm having a hard time finding a reasonably priced condo that's well maintained that doesn't have a chemical smell, either from air freshener or naphthalene. Maybe I should have gone to the DR, however paying taxis 60CAD to go on a 10 minute ride and come back seems out of my budget. I would have to find something modern with internet that works near the beach. How much do you think that would cost in CAD?

I'd like to hear a bit of a comparison with caberete and why you choose to live on the north shore?
Already tried Las Terrenas.
I'm looking for extended stay location and trying to weigh the differences with: punta cana region, Bayahibe, caberete, puerto plata (costambar)
I need a nice beach that's within walking distance
Las Terrenas was beautiful but as Americans it was just too far from airport access (semana airport is not an option) -
I’m planning my solo trip now for this weekend and this video has been so helpful at letting me understand that there are still things to do outside of resort that are safe! Thank you!

We are going to the DR in May. Staying at a “Excellence “ resort in Punta Cana. We are used to the “Sandals” experience and never tried the DR or another all inclusive. What is your experience with the all inclusive there and Punta Cana in May? I just don’t want to be disappointed. Thanks
