I am surprised that someone like Palki is asking this question. The West won't answer that? It's because of our behaviour, our fake documents and the scams that we pull. Why does the Indian government not address the fact that India has been running the world's biggest immigration scam? Punjab, Gujarat (emphasis on the rat), Haryana, Delhi, etc – the biggest scam running ever. 95% of them do not know how to behave in public and will gather enmass, no doubt a posse of fellow fraudulent immigrants with their fake scores and IELTS documents all paid for and forged by their fraud agencies, and then they make a mess in the foreign country that they go to. Start a F*cking chat counter and lay those stupid cots all over the parking area and then bring their entire family, who can't speak English or the language of that land and then roam around. Possibly even peeing and shitting on the street! Like they do back in India. They basic courtesy that the West take for granted, these country baboons cannot try to emulate, but they will act out the dumb dancing & acting tough of their fool actors in their favourite nonsensical Bollywood movie. The music, especially Punjabi music (those annoying repetitive tinga tinga tinga torture that they pass for music), their dumb chole batture and all sort of BS. These morons possibly want Hindi & Punjabi to be adopted as the new national languages of the West. Being Indian myself I would reject everyone. Or do interviews that check for so many things and then only accept them. We are now universally hated! Congratulations!!

Palki they have their own reason for rejection, not just simply rejecting, as you said rejection rate is nearly 10 or 15% only, what do you say about granted percentage, don't think that every visa applications will be granted, one first needs to fulfill the visa requirements.

reasons are: too many fake qualifications from India, overstaying, IT skills from India are being replaced with AI. Indians are no longer the poster child of highly skilled IT professionals.

As a Kiwi (New Zealander ) lots of Visas are rejected because they are part of an "Education Scam" that is being targeted, we welcome immigrants who have the appropriate skills, not those trying to slip in the backdoor with fake "Education Courses" to fill low paying jobs (often becoming victims of crooked employers )__ Indian migrants generally fit in well with our culture and life style.

As an Pakistani American, Indians in the US do very well. The ones coming to the US are professionals mostly. The Indian community does not always mingle though. But in reality waiting 250 days for an interview is ridiculous. I sure hope this does not have something to d with incoming administration and racist dog whistles.

Of course there should be rejections! You people move abroad drive up inflation and cost of living, where it is near impossible for the actual citizens of that country to adapt. Not only that, you come abroad on student visa's and find loopholes in systems to stay longer than you are required to and apply for permanent citizenship. You've ruined the sovereignty of many once great countries such as Canada, United Kingdom and Australia, so what did you expect? Along with the rejections they need to start deporting people back to India also.

One more rant with no objective understanding or study of the core issue. Unfortunately many tourists from India are a disgrace and have very little civic sense. Though VISA applications cannot measure that, they just keep the total numbers low by bringing in additional restrictions.

I always keep upto date with FP news but this was so biased and failed to address the issue fully and accurately. Firstly, the economy of India or the foreign policies of India has little to do with the power of the Indian passport. According to that logic US, China and Russia should be the top 3 in the passport ranking – but it is not. @3:35 The logic is visible and the west does not need to explain it. It is the quality of the people visiting the western countries. There is a significant number of Indian citizens who would migrate without the intention to return. This fact unfortunately affects everyone holding an Indian passport. FP also needs to see that middle class in India is not at a middle class standard worldwide. I presume those countries which has slightly stronger passport than India has populations which are a tiny fraction of those wanting to travel with an Indian passport.

Canadians are some of the nicest people on earth, but the anti-Indian sentiments in the country have been steadily growing over the past few years for a reason. While some of them settle into the Canadian culture, a lot of them have instead decided to import India to Canada. The question then is, why not stay in India? If you wanna be Canadian, be Canadian, don't try to turn Canada into India 2.0. That's why Canadians seem anti-Indian now.

I don't understand why India has to be so reliant on foreign countries. Especially with so many young and talented kids joining the workforce. Indians are smart people, and are bright and talented, and should focus on making work/life conditions better in their own country and focus on the growth of their own country. It's not like we lack intelligence, or culture, or values. I don't like this constant feeling of rejection if visa gets denied to move to a foreign country. Oh we can quadruple our income in a foreign country and send money home. Make changes in India to facilitate that, and not have to feel reliant on a foreign country to make that happen. It's time to make other countries want to come to India for a better future..
