talgo 👎👎👎👎

I love the trains in Spain, especially on the plains! I’ve taken Renfe from Madrid/Valencia 2022 and Madrid/Malaga this past September. Best way to get around 🎉😊
-
Very kind of you to always note the accessibility options.
-
Thanks for highlighting Renfe and their competitors! Spain's multi-company battle for rail is interesting to say the least.
-
As far as I'm aware the Lyon to Spain service (I live in Lyon) only goes as far as Barcelona – which is a bit of a shame. It would be nice if it was extended to Madrid. I guess a change of train would be easy enough in Barcelona, but through services are always more attractive.
Agree, there should be more cooperation and more long-distance high-speed services in Europe. -
This train in the other direction during the morning is better in my opinion, with a sunrise on LGV Méditerranée 😊
Great review 👌
Salutations from Aix en Provence TGV -
It stands out a mile that Catalonia is not a region. And yes, Barcelona is the capital city of the aforementioned land.
-
I have taken it this summer for my interrail trip!
-
Great trip. Even Talgo isn't good for High Speed, at least it can running anywhere thanks to Gauge changing technology.
-
What a cool trip! I'd love to do it. Plus I love train travel.
-
Ngl, the S100 trains are better than the Talgo Avril (S106)
-
Excellent video my friends 😊awesome 😮 fantatic Greeting 🙋🏻♂️ from Argentina 🇦🇷 suscribete 😊
-
Wow, what a journey! 🌟 The train looks super comfy. Definitely going to consider this for my future travels! 🌍
-
7:22 probably the best HST rolling stock in Spain in my opinion😅
-
Why is it so slow? You can ride on car from San Diego to Sacramento 500 miles almost by the same time with crazy traffic in Los Angeles and slow speed 80 miles per hour ( slow in comparison to 500 kmh)
-
İspanya Fransa arasında ray açıklığı (Track Gauge) kaç mm?
-
i wish Renfe renovated those tgv's instead of using those cheap talgo trains made of plastic and noise.
-
what about the rail gauge change from Spain broadgauge to European Standart gauge?
-
Do the Estandar 2nd class seats recline?
-
are there other online companies from which you can purchase your train ticket. Why is Germany taking the money for this train trip – should it not be shared between Spain and France as they are the ones who built this rail system and spent tonnes of money in doing so.

Nice 140 languages!!!
Go for it!!

why the freak were the people at 12:50 walking backwards

Again, SNCF needs to LEARN to keep it's trains clean and tidy, like RENFE, they FAILED to renew and upgrade the service even AFTER Freciarossa introduced service competing with the TGV from Paris to Torino/Milano and RENFE also FAILED to reply to Iryo after their Flagship Madrid-Barcelona service.
SNCF also needs bettter hospitality to it's passengers. Portugal's CP, Spain's RENFE and Italy's FS Staff are usually very accomodating and give a service with a smile. SNCF staff looks annoyed and they look like they don't care! What happened to that good service they gave on trains like the Mistral?

I took 3 high speed trains when visiting Spain last months: the Avril from Santiago de Compostela to Madrid rumbled horribly on both wide gauge as well as on standard gauge at any speed up to 300 km/h. From Madrid to Santander and from León to Miranda de Ebro I traveled in Talgo 250 trains and these did roll pristine!! No rumbling on both gauges, at slow speed or 250 km/h.
-
TY as always. Very nice video.
-
I do agree that the TGV's are one of the best high speed trains in the world and definitely the smoothest that I have been on. I have travelled on TGV Lyria between Paris and Basel, the TGV between Paris and Torino, and the Eurostar TMST and Velaro between Paris and London. The ride quality of the TMST is much better than the Velaro in my opinion.

Something that is epic is very large and impressive.
Different national networks working more closely together sounds like a good idea, but may be against current European Union legislation!
The whole idea of having (albeit recently) a choice of different rail companies on the same long distance lines is that they will be in COMPETITION. It is hoped that this will automatically keep prices down. The companies hope of course to profit as much as possible by filling their trains. But, as you remark, for all sorts of reasons, not so many passengers use them (outside holiday periods).
The SNCF can't even get its National act together. Two great Mediterranean cities 'Nice and Marseilles) are still More than 2½ hours apart, either by motorway or by train. They run TGVs on TER track and there's not much advantage in choosing the TGV over the TER, although a reserved seat on the former is somehow more "secure" than arriving, only to stand in the corridor of a TER!
Typically your international train will arrive in Marseilles AFTER the last train for Nice (20h57) has already departed!Nice*Paris with change of train in Lyons can have a 1h38 wait between trains!

@NonstopEurotrip, it is completely unfair and unacceptable, along with irrespectful for the company itself, the way you usually comment about Talgo trains. "Cheaping out with so many Talgos"?? How dare you speaking in such a rude way? The fact that the Avril S-106 needs to be improved in some aspects and it is not the best train Talgo has ever built, Talgo has been building many good trains since 1942 when the company was established, with state-of-the-art and innovative technology. You should apologise for such an unfair and rude behaviour towards Talgo, a company which actually builds good trains also for many other countries in the world, a company which creates employment for so many people and one of the most important companies of Spain. Shame!
-
@NonstopEurotrip: And something else: you should have and give better information, since it is the SNCF and the French government the ones which make it so difficult for Spain to operate in France. So your comment "I think they need to put their differences aside" should read "I think France should make it easier for Renfe to operate widerly in France instead of making it almost impossible".
