Why is China even spending so much on military? The US is the reason whey they're doing well economically in the first place.

one to one, few soldiers can compare to an U.S. soldier even with the recently decline in quality (emma and her two moms cough cough), especially their special forces, but the question is: how many Chinese soldier would an American have to take out to actually win a battle

A low wage is not a smaller incentive, if society as a whole is poorer though. Good wages are relative to the average wage of a society

I served 8 years in the AF and the Army. The best part about our training, is that it's constant, and the gains are so gradual you don't realize it until the first time you go back home and notice how much you've grown. My benefits are great too, could be better of course, but free is free and I was given everything I was promised then twice as much. If it weren't for the military I can honestly say that not only would I be less than half of the man I am today, I probably wouldn't be here at all. If you're feeling lost or directionless, I suggest joining, especially if you're young and able. The time I spent helped me to mature and learn so when I got out everything was easier. I would have flunked out of college if I went right after high school. I'm sure of it. But the discipline I cultivated in the service was and still is the greatest benefit. And don't forget the life long brothers and sisters I made. E4 Mafia Rakasan! lol iykyk. lol I don't mean to sound like a recruiter, lol they'll lie to you to get you to sign I'm just sharing my experiences. US Military, still number one, still protecting democracy as best we can even in these polarizing times.

Confused one says: "Hunger makes one hungry….War makes one wary"….Lets if the lessons apply.

US government still doesn't pay their veterans and active duty troops very well, they are still living at or below the poverty line both during and after service, ( after service meaning the disabled veterans who put their lives and bodies on the line to serve the country, many are left without the ability to work and barely making ends meet or worse especially with inflation out pacing out pacing the meager increases the president authorizes each year, and they are meager to say the least. The Veterans Administration has often been called a soldiers second change to die for his/her country, mostly waiting, if not on the operating table or from misdiagnosed ailments or the wrong medication, and there is no recourse or ability to sue doctors that mess up surgeries.

Bunch of nuances here. Viet Cong defeated the US and something similar can happen. No state has that kind of military budget as the US. But it took some time until those Chinese balloons were taken down LOL and Chinese bought "farms" surrounding most military bases in the US. All about competency, especially now with those goofballs in office.

Correction: American soldiers are not really stronger than Chinese soldiers. Let's not kid ourselves lol. The US military does not recruit the strongest and the smartest of the US.

u miss the interconnectivity issues on all fronts.
    1. salary – living costs in China are a lot lower so 1/4 is not an impact
    2. most of their gear, especially mechanized does not work
    3. corruption is a fundamental part in their system
    4. they are not trained to fight, they are trained to be loyal
    5. when they do train, its scripted so they can report to the higher ups their successes
    6. their scripts, pilots train for dog fights, like u would in WW2. they did not adjust for modern day
    7. they teach the repair/maintenance crew for a month which in the US takes 3+ years

Wang Too Long here. I defected to the US years ago.

China is struggling to fill its ranks worse than the US is. They'll simply throw bullet magnets in large numbers at US guns and push for a stale mate and negotiations; unlike the US , China won't have people protesting in the streets when the combat casualties start returning home…

Ngl, this younger generation from all around the world is too soft for war. Especially some of the chinese youth. Im glad they touched on it with the "little emperor syndrome." They're soooooo spoiled

At least the Chinese soldiers know what a man and a woman is, and don't break down in tears when you misgender them (let alone PREFERRING that type, like the US do nowadays). Also, don't get me started on the fact that the West is putting women in combat roles (and lowering the requirements to ensure they qualify) – when you take things like that into account, I think the silly things this video comes up with are problems we will one day envy the Chinese for.
