    In the far north-east of Georgia, on the border with Russia, the Abano Pass leads to lofty heights. At almost 3000 meters or 1832 ft, it is the highest passable road in the Great Caucasus. It winds its way up dizzyingly steep slopes. On wild paths, it leads through a fascinating landscape. It is a voyage of discovery into a mighty mountain world.

    The older man is right about the roads. I was suppose to go to Georgia this past fall 2024. Sad it got derailed. As I had hoped to go before even larger boom comes of ppl finding out. And always going to places without respect. One thing I ever go anywhere with is massive humble heart and respect for nature and the ppl. Where so many go for instagram or never put themselves aside and bring their habits there. Insted of open and learning or respecting. Leave some of it untouched for sure. That balance of making those lives a bit easier. But the problems come when you let too much in. Look at the world in general. If you want money and pavement go there. Leave what little raw nature is left – as is.
