Great car, but you’d have to have rocks in your head to daily drive one. It’s epically good at what it’s designed to do, but daily on road use in suburbia is not it.

In germany you can get a used g-wagen pretty cheap. It will be surplus military one, but theyre used on farms and mountains, and generaly – the offroad. The AMG g-wagen is not the one you should get. The G in g-wagen stands for Gelande-wagen – offroad-vehicle

I just saw one of these parked on the street in Carmel, Indiana. I was taking pictures of it when two teenage girls walked up. They told me it was their dad's car, and he was one of the lead designers. They said pretty much everything you covered in the history and inspiration of this vehicle, so I am inclined to believe them. It was one of their birthdays, which is why their dad let them take it out.
