Illinois Woman Suddenly Goes Missing While on Bahamas Vacation

A woman from Illinois who was reportedly on vacation in the Bahamas is now missing, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

41-year-old Taylor Casey of Chicago was last seen June 19 in the Bahamas on Paradise Island when she “mysteriously vanished,” according to a social media post.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force posted a Missing Person alert for Taylor Casey on their Facebook page on June 21. According to the report, Casey has a “slim build” and a “light brown” complexion.

A friend of Taylor Casey was with her just hours before she seemed to disappear after she reportedly went to a yoga retreat center.

Family members of Taylor Casey will be flying into the Bahamas on Tuesday (6/25) to be advocates on the ground, according to a report from CBS News.

Just back in January of this year (2024) there was a travel warning issued for the Bahamas due to “violent crime, such as burglaries, armed robberies, and sexual assaults, occur in both tourist and non-tourist areas.”
